Welcoming Two New Trustees

At their July meeting, the Trustees of Ewelme Almshouse Charity were delighted to welcome Mrs Jane Appleton and Mr Kevin Senior to the Board. Jane is a communications and marketing professional and brings to the Board over 40 years’ experience in the public, private and charitable sectors, notably as an NHS Director of Communications, working in London, the Thames Valley and the south west of England. She is now Director of Communications for the Diocese of Oxford. Outside of work commitments her interests are medieval church architecture, and Dutch art. Kevin is a retired partner from an international accounting firm. Since retirement he has been involved as a governor or trustee with a number of organisations and is currently a governor at Abingdon School and Christ’s Hospital of Abingdon, which, inter alia, operates a number of almshouses in Abingdon. He is also a trustee of Quest for Learning, reflecting his general interest in educational matters. Kevin has an active interest in horse racing, and is a Director of Rowdown Stables Limited as well as having an ownership interest in a number of racehorses. He and his wife have recently moved to Watlington and he is keen to get involved in the local community.
